Amy Madurzack

Amy began in the creative arts at the age of 2 in the suburbs of Chicago, taking figure skating.  By the age of seven, she was performing with the rink's team, putting on regular productions, such as “The Nutcracker” and “Swan Lake”. Along with skating, she began taking ballet and jazz classes.  She continued her dance training throughout her youth, including dancing at her high school on the  flag and drill team.  As an adult, she has trained in tap, and continues to dance and skate recreationally.

She has always has a special interest in young children.  After college, she worked as a preschool teacher, and a summer camp counselor.  She has developed and run a successful preschool bible school program, with an emphasis on inclusion of special needs children and spent several years working as a Sunday school teacher.  For the past few years, she has been teaching preschool and early elementary school classes in ballet, tap, and jazz at Dance Magic in Poway.

Amy and David, proud parents of two, have been in Poway for eight years. David works on mobile development for Intuit.  They have a son, Ben, 13, who currently attends Yellowstone Academy, a special needs school, and a homeschooled daughter, Kathleen, 10, who will be joining the team at DU.  The Madurzaks are so excited to be a part of the Dance Unlimited family!
